I would like to show every one, but I've been trying to up load pictures of my Valentines package from my secret pal as well. Haven't been able to do that either. Darn, darn, darn. Yvonne told me to e-mail them to her, couldn't do that either. I AM NOT computer illiterate! Its the computer itself, although, I have issues with it, or, it has issues with me. The week from hell is over. Would you like to know how my week has been? Sunday: Tony fed my sisters fish.....The whole tub. Monday: Tony fed the fish......... Half a cup of hot chocolate. Tuesday: Tony fed the fish........ez-mac uncooked noodles, and a single-serve box of cheerioes. Wenesday: Tony fed the fish........a oatmeal-chocolate chip cookie, oh, and he took them for a ride in Matthew's small ride on toy.........Without water.......Oh, but with rocks. Two of them didn't do so well on their senic ride, they've went on to fishy heaven ( the royal flush ). Thursday: work. Friday: Migraine. Oh, and on top all of this, both kids had a very contagious virus RSV. Miserable, Cranky ( thank god I have experience with the cranky knitters ), and just plain Nasty children, poor things, I felt so bad for Matthew, 103.5 degree temp for 5 days. ER visit, Drs visits, oh, and the Dr told me that the medicine could make them meaner than godzilla. Where has he been? I told him I could handle that, I mean, been there done that, this week. WELL, boy was I wrong! Tony was fine with it. Matthew on the other hand, long about 4 in the afternoon, would start to cry, and not stop til he was asleep. Thank God thats over, only four days for the medicine from heck.
Knitting Olympics? Whats is that? I need to take a road trip, Philly, NYC anywhere with snow. All I needed to clean off my windshield was a feather duster! Oh well, I must remember that others do not have the advantages I have; a home, I have heat and can look out side and admire mother nature. Others are not so fortunate. I must start knitting my patches for blankets for the needy ( after the Olympics ). On to other subjects.
Matthew is still very sick, we had him to the emergency room last night, our doctor was so booked and overbooked, they had us go to the ER. Matthew had a chest x-ray, turned out to be clear. Sent us home, told us to go to the Dr.'s tomorrow. What a waste. He has been spiking 103.5 temps for days now; as soon as his meds wear off here it comes again. Up half the night, won't eat or drink like he normally does. Poor baby.
Tony helped me mop the floor yesterday! yup, he went downstairs while we were getting them to bed, and got my mop out of the bucket and dragged it through the house ( my fault, should have dumped it ). I have no time to do this, two kids, one hubby (that's three kids!) ;-) one dog, one cat, seven fish. A full time job and I entered in the Knitting Olympics. I think I entered at any rate, and I just got my entry in by 11:30ish. Not sure exactly what I want to do, but I found a pattern I think I like: The Big Snuggly at knitlist.com/01gift/the-big-snuggly.htm It didn't look very hard, but for me I think it would be a challenge. I need to find out if my secret pal, or my secret spoiler has entered. I detect two e-mails coming up this evening. If anyone has any better ideas for my entry please get in touch quick. I was up until 2:00 pm last night looking for the perfect thing for me. I found a couple of things but was unsure of the patterns so I bypassed them (chicken). Time to go for now hope to hear from everyone soon.

It's a beautiful day!

Well, I've had to take today off, I was sick, am feeling better now, still not 100% but ok. scuse me gotta get the baby, I'm back, so is Matthew. Sitting here watching Oprah, typing along one handed (baby is in the other). ((rats, can't get my enter button to go to the next paragraph)) Anthony just made me terribly angry; 1. He emptied his toy box on his floor. 2. He spilled the babies food all over the floor. 3. He fed the fish, a half cup of hot chocolate ( yum! )((one of the fish wasn't doing so well in the first place, now he's doing very badly, poor thing. 4. I just caught him beating his toys with a piece of his old toddler bed! ( We were given a race car bed and swiched them, I took the old one apart this morning and the pieces didn't make it to the garage) Pieces were flying, wait 'til daddy gets home. Can I get Calgon take me away? I would have to go and buy some first. I sure don't have time for that! Anyway, I still need to decide if and what I may do for the stiching Olympics. Chilly, sunny, just could not have been a prettier day. We played hookie for our first bus run, as the kids were up a lot during the night Matt's still teething. We went to McD's for breakfast, went to work, put smiley borders up all through the bus and generally had a good time! The kids loved them, my kids and the "bus kids" everyone was very good for a change, only had to yell about a dozen times. (that's a very good day, believe me!).

We came home, and got the Jeep out and played til daddy got home, he took over outside, and I came in to cook.

Worked on my scarf a little today (very little). ;-)

Here's hoping everyone else had just as good a day as we had.

Live well Laugh often Love much

Love Lynda, Tony, and Matt.

Bye

It's too early to be up!

It's 7:12 AM on Sunday morning, I'm up and I don't want to be!

I just took the pictures of the stuff my Secret pal sent me, and I'm going to attempt to get them on my blog! ( ambitious this morning aren't I?).

Cannot find the cord for the digital camera; the one that gets the picture from my camera to the computer. Tom just used it last night but I cant find it. He's asleep so I must wait. Oh well, on to other things.

Would you like to hear what we did on our big night out? We went to The Hilltop , in Rochester; ate dinner had one drink apiece and went home. We were in bed by 8:30 pm. Nothing else happened either! Boring!!!!!!!! His excuse? He was doing a Jeep thingy the next morning! Oh, and I had school! Ahhhhhhh who cares. On to knitting!

I'm still working on my scarves, I just can't seem to get back into the groove since Christmas. I would like to have a pattern for a plain, plain sweater for me. I saw a sweater style? That I think I liked, but I didn't like the cables in it. ( I don't think I know what I want ;-) ).

I don't know if I was a bad girl or not; I was showing a friend how to get her own blog ( like I'm some expert or something!) and I showed her my secret pals blog, and I got to see her picture! I didn't know I could do that. I think that because we were on her computer and using her e-mail address, thats why I could see her picture. I've never been able to see it on mine.

I wish my secret pal would update a little more often, there are only 2 real posts to her blog, and one is the questionnaire that we all did. Well, she should get her first package about tomorrow, maybe she will update then. I hope she's not like me and needs a lot of help ( thank you Yvonne!). I have the greatest friends in the world! You know, I didn't have many in school, but as an adult, I have been truly blessed with GREAT FRIENDS.

On that little note, bye for now.

Remember, Live well Laugh often Love much

Going out tonight!

Hey, just a short one, I uncovered Tom, dragged his butt out of the yarn, dusted him off and am making him take me out tonight! My boys are doing ok, well, Matthew is teething, and we are getting to the point where he is miserable and cranky, running a fever, not eating, etc., etc.. So mommy is pulling hair, and not all of it belongs to me! Tom is taking care of the boys right now, and may I just say; Unwillingly! HAH! Too bad. ( He's just got his knickers in a twist 'cause I'm on the computer and he's not! )
On to other more important things, this branching out pattern is very intimidating, and I hear members of our knitting groups saying that they are ripping it out, and making mistakes. REMEMBER, new at this, this is not good! I want simplicity, aaahhhhhhhhh who cares here we go, bring it on. I am looking for a simple pattern for a large, plain sweater for me to attempt, for me. Boy, doesn't that sound selfish. I have an inbred need to always be doing for someone else. I am supposed to be working on 6 scarves right now, and haven't touched any of them since beechers the other night. I'm gonna get off the computer and go and knit for a while before bed. NO SCHOOL tomorrow! yeahhhhhhhh! Dancing for joy going on right now!!!!!!!!

Remember: LIVE WELL LAUGH OFTEN LOVE MUCH

Oooooooooohhh!

OK!!!!!

The kids are sleeping, and the husband crawled out of the yarn he was hiding under and left for parts unknown! Yippee! I have the computer to myself! WOW, I don't think I know where to go first. I found the Port-a-Pocket . Connie, I promise I wont hit you over the head with my knitting bag and steal yours. ;-) I think?

Isn't it wonderful Friday is here!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh! I could actually dance for joy. Children were good all day til the ride home. WHAT a nightmare! Matthew screamed all the way home. 20 minute ride was more like an eternity. Was so bad Anthony started up as well.

To all of my Jeep friends, you will get a kick out of this. As you all know, Anthony is two, and, he got a Power wheels Jeep for Christmas. Well, what can I say, he drives like his dad, he hit the curb, drove half on and half off of said curb then dropped 'er down on the road and HIT the neighbors little boy. I must say in Anthony's defense, the little boy ran right out in front of Anthony, all you could see was this childs head and torso. Hugh drama, should have seen us, the moms, I mean, two overlarge mommies running full sprint down the street! Boy I wish I had it on video. Here we go running and by the time we get half way to them, they had it under control, the kid crawls out from under the Jeep and comes running over to his mom laughing the whole way! Now it's funny, but, in that second, hmmmmm..... Do they carry insurance for Power wheels? ...... Anyone?

My crafts...

I create stitch markers...beaded ones, obviously.

Anyway, my friend Nora took a picture of some of the markers I made, the last time we were at Barnes & Noble for the Cran-Knitters group. I have two small children, and sometimes it seems impossible for me to get any time to myself.

P. S . The babies are sleeping, shhh! :)

Here goes nothing,
No, I don't consider myself a yarn snob, although I don't like the feel of a plain acrylic yarn. I don't know how to spin, I have friends that have their own wheels and I want to learn but, for that I would need some spare time, think I can pick some of that up in the local grocery store? I have crocheted in the past though I don't follow patterns. I have been knitting for several years, but I'm still a beginner. I learned to do dish rags, and that's all I did for years. Although you could say I'm branching out. That's the name of the scarf I'm doing now; Branching out. As for what I store my needles in, I have an old needle case. No, I don't have an online wish list, just one in my head. My favorite scent is The Body Shop's: Satsuma and I love baked apple pie candles. My favorite candy? Why chocolate of course.

I love to bead, as all my knitting friends can attest to, I make and sell stitch markers, and all sorts of other things. I would like to get a glass torch, to make my own beads. I love to make bath supplies: soap, milk bath, and bath salts. I give a lot of these away as gifts. I like a lot of different music, country, classical, oldies rock n roll etc. My favorite color is purple, with light greens following close second. I am not a fan of the dark orange family. I have a wonderful cat named Ginger, a silly dog named RueRue ( a 2 yr old's pronunciation ). I do wear scarves, gloves, and hats, but have never had a poncho.

I prefer to knit a yarn that is extremely soft to the touch, other than that, I'm not that picky. Acrylic is yucky to the fingertips. My current obsession, would be that scarf I mentioned earlier. And yes I love home made goodies. I have no preference over circ. Or straight. Bamboo/wood then aluminum. No, I don't own either winder or swift.

I learned from a neighbor, My gram and I learned at the same time, sitting in the neighbors yard. My first dishrag was a cotton, Swiss cheese. :) 23. ? Mickey Mouse, is there any other? CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!! I collect beads, old fountain pens, old ink wells, and of course all things Mickey Mouse.
